We are proud to support the campaign by selling daffodil pins and raising money in memory of our one-time work mate Chris Ford who sadly passed away in September 2016.
Marie Curie UK do so much good and we hope it will make a difference and help those suffering find some comfort. We at Able Access UK didn’t realise just how much they did, it’s certainly opened our eyes! You can also donate on their website www.mariecurie.org.uk
Marie Curie UK provide the following essential services:
Information and support
If you’ve been diagnosed with a terminal illness, or you’re supporting someone who has, they offer a range of information and support online, through their freephone Support Line, via web chat and in free publications and resources. Whether you need specific, practical guidance or you just need someone to talk to, they’re there for you.
Their 2,160 nurses make it possible for people living with any terminal illness to die peacefully at home, surrounded by the people that mean the most to them. Find out more about their nurses or read some real stories on their website www.mariecurie.org.uk
Their nine hospices offer round-the-clock, expert care and support, in a friendly, welcoming environment. Some people visit for the day to use services, whilst others stay for longer. Have a read of some real stories from patients on their website www.mariecurie.org.uk
Their trained, dedicated helper volunteers spend a few hours a week visiting people with a terminal illness, offering companionship, emotional support and practical help. Find out more about their helpers or see how to become one on their website www.mariecurie.org.uk
